Thanks to the Bluetooth Low Energy connection, the in-lite app (iOS & Android) makes direct contact with the transformer. The Hub features a built-in astronomical clock that knows exactly when the sun rises and sets. The major advantage of the SMART HUB 75 compared to the standard version is the division into zones. This transformer has two individually controllable cable inputs. This means, for example, you can have the front garden lights turn off at a different time than the backyard, or operate them separately via the app.

Do you use in-lite Smart lamps?

If you want to use smart in-lite fixtures in your garden (such as the Smart Scope Tone), purchasing a SMART HUB is necessary. These smart fixtures do not communicate with the standard Hub 75; they require the Bluetooth technology of the Smart Hub to change colour or light intensity.

How many lamps can I connect to a SMART HUB 75?

There is no fixed number of lamps. It depends on the total VA value (installation value) of all the lamps you wish to connect. The SMART HUB 75 can handle a maximum of 75 VA. The combined VA value of all lamps must stay below this limit.

Specialist Tip: It is wise to plan for future expansions. If your current total is around 70 VA, there is very little room left. The in-lite SMART HUB 150 (with 150 VA capacity and 3 zones) would then be a better choice.

Where to place the SMART HUB 75 transformer?

The SMART HUB 75 can be mounted both indoors (e.g., in a shed or garage) and outdoors. Because you control the lighting via Bluetooth, it is best to mount the Hub not too far from where you usually operate the lights (e.g., near the back door or patio) for the best range.

If mounting outdoors, ensure it is protected from direct precipitation (for example, under a roof cover). If this is not possible, we strongly recommend ordering the in-lite HUB PROTECTOR 1. This cover protects the transformer against dirt and moisture. The transformer must always be mounted vertically and at least 50 cm above the ground.
