in-lite VOQUE

The in-lite VOQUE series combines decorative bollards and pendant lights with dark glass and soft, warm white illumination. Available in two distinctive sizes and different height configurations, the series is designed to create comfortable ambient lighting around terraces, borders, seating areas, and covered dining spaces.

Which in-lite VOQUE is right for your garden?

Start by choosing between the VOQUE and the larger BIG VOQUE, depending on how prominent you want the fixture to be. Both sizes can then be used at different heights or as pendant lights, while each type is available in either 12V or 230V.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a professional to make a garden lighting plan?

No. A pen, paper, and this guide are enough for most gardens. If your garden is large or complex, we're happy to help you work through it.

What's the difference between functional and atmospheric lighting?

Functional lighting keeps you safe; think steps, doorways, and paths. Atmospheric lighting is there to set the mood, like a tree lit from below or a soft glow near your terrace.

Can I install in-lite garden lighting myself?

Yes. The in-lite 12V system is designed for easy installation without any specialist knowledge. Using Easy-Lock connectors, most homeowners can install or expand their lighting system themselves. Always follow the installation instructions and ensure the transformer is installed in a dry, well-ventilated location.

Can I expand my garden lighting system later?

Yes. One of the advantages of the in-lite 12V system is that it can easily be expanded over time. You can start with lighting for your patio and pathways, then add fixtures for trees, borders, or other garden features as your lighting plan evolves.

Can I connect multiple in-lite fixtures to one ground cable?

Yes. Multiple in-lite fixtures can be connected to the same 12V ground cable. Each fixture is connected at the required position along the cable using an Easy-Lock connector. The total capacity of your lighting system (VA) must remain within the capacity of the in-lite transformer.

Can I combine in-lite 12V and 230V lighting in the same garden?

Yes. You can use in-lite 12V and 230V lighting within the same lighting plan, but they use separate electrical systems. The 12V fixtures connect to an in-lite HUB and low-voltage cable, while 230V fixtures use a suitable mains connection. A 230V fixture cannot be connected directly to an in-lite 12V cable.

Can I replace a 12V in-lite fixture with a 230V version?

Not as a direct replacement. A 12V in-lite fixture is powered through an in-lite HUB and low-voltage cable system, while a 230V fixture requires a suitable mains connection. Changing from 12V to 230V therefore requires the electrical connection to be changed rather than simply swapping the fixture.

How do I make my garden feel warm and inviting with lighting?

Use warm white light (2700K to 3000K) and combine lighting at different heights to create a welcoming atmosphere. Add soft light around seating areas, use directional lighting to highlight selected plants or trees, and leave some areas darker. This balance of light and shadow creates depth and prevents the garden from looking uniformly lit.

How can I prevent atmospheric garden lighting from becoming too bright?

Use softer light where people sit or walk and reserve brighter accent lighting for selected focal points. Position directional fixtures carefully to keep direct light out of your line of sight, and leave darker areas between illuminated features. Dimmable or compatible smart fixtures can provide additional control over light intensity.

How many in-lite lights can I connect to one transformer?

There is no fixed number of in-lite lights you can connect to one transformer. The limit depends on the combined VA of the fixtures rather than the number of lights. Add together the VA of all connected fixtures and make sure the total remains below the maximum VA capacity of your HUB or SMART HUB.
