There is no fixed number of lamps you can connect to the HUB 75. The determining factor is the total VA value (installation load) of all connected fixtures. The HUB 75 has a maximum capacity of 75VA, and the combined load of all lamps must remain below this limit.

Specialist tip: Always allow room for future expansion. If your current lighting plan totals around 70 VA, there is very little capacity left for additional fixtures. In that case, the in-lite SMART HUB 150 may be a more future-proof choice.

Where to place the HUB 75 transformer?

The HUB 75 can be installed both indoors (for example in a shed or garage) and outdoors. Because the lighting is controlled via Bluetooth, we advise mounting the HUB within reasonable proximity to where you typically operate the lights (i.e. near the back door or patio) to ensure optimal connection range.

If you plan on installing the transformer outdoors, make sure it is protected from direct rainfall. If this is not possible, we strongly recommend using the in-lite HUB PROTECTOR 1. This protective cover shields the transformer from dirt and moisture.

The transformer must always be mounted vertically and at least 50 cm above ground level. Also ensure that there is no artificial light (streetlights or car headlights) interfering with the transformer. This can cause the HUB to function less optimally.
